Alfred Hitchcock and Billy Wilder: Reaching Out pre-LinkedIn style

I found this on twitpic from @lettersofnote.  I don't recall running across this when going through Hitchcock's files--so perhaps from Billy Wilder's?  In any case, the two men are the two directors who have influenced my life and art the most (and, indeed, Double Indemnity is one of those near perfect films).
Letter from Alfred Hitchcock to Billy Wilder congratulating Wilder on his film Double Indemnity (1944)
Hitchcock would have been over at Fox wrapping up Lifeboat at the time.  The two films make an interesting double feature--certainly they are share dark views of human nature.  I wonder also if Hitchcock hadn't been a little envious of Wilder's better film, which has certain very Hitchcockian elements (and Lifeboat, as good as it is, seems to lack many of the usual Hitchcock themes).
