More in the Summer of Hitch Love:Hitchcock's DIAL M FOR MURDER IN 3-D! at Film Forum in New York City
If you're in the Big Apple this weekend, then go see Dial M for Murder in 3D. I'm often asked about this movie in 3D. A lot fans think it's a new forced 3D and are surprised to learn that Hitchcock even made a 3D film. It's undoubtedly the best 3D movie ever made (unless you are just looking for junk thrown at you, and this also excludes documentaries from the contest). I've seen Dial M twice in 3D (and countless times flat--the film's a little bit of cinematic perfection), both times with the Polaroid Dual projector set up, and it is the best, Viewmaster-looking 3D process from the time.
For a sample of what you have ahead, I've included a bit of the Japanese VHD of the 3D film that is so far not available stateside. Go to Youtube to learn how get the 3D effect without glasses. Thanks to Joel Gunz from the AlfredHitchcockGeek.com for the head's up about this weekend's screening.
