Happy birthday to Patricia Hitchcock

Pat Hitchcock in Strangers on a Train |
Born today in 1928, Patricia Hitchcock is the only child of Alma and Alfred Hitchcock. To Hitchcock fans, she's quite recognizable as the choke-able cop-gadfly sister in Strangers on a Train and as the nosy secretary in Psycho. I suspect, though, to the Master of Suspense, she was always Daddy's little girl. Happy birthday, Pat--

Daddy's little girl in England. Patricia was born in 1928--her arrival during the more bucolic period of silent films. It was one of the happiest periods for the Hitchcock's. |

I love all the Hitchcocks! I've ruined my rapidly waning health to watch "A.H. Presents" here in New York at 1 am weeknights -- and I couldn't be happier. Hitch is the great moralist and mirror: it was his copycatters who ruined everything.
