More on the Chaplin Lost Film

According to the BBC, the Chaplin film was not auctioned--which upset the film's owner Morace Park. The link the BBC interview is provided here.
Morace Park did in fact buy the film on Ebay in 2009. So, whether the HuffPost story is a mash of this older story, or a mash up of this story with another newer find--well, only the HuffPost reporter knows.
And, while the website has not been updated since 2010, the team making the documentary does have a very active Twitter account, LostFilmProject. And, their posts have been just as critical of the botched HuffPost story--and just a little twinged at my post.
So, a researcher learns that twitter needs to be included in the first round of fact checking. Good to read that the documentary is still on and my humble apologies over the snarky comment regarding its quality.  Hope to see the documentary and the Zepped film soon.
