Vertigo: The Making of a Hitchcock Classic Now Available at Amazon for Kindle

My book is now available at Amazon for Kindle.  I appreciate all the help and support.  Books, like movies, are team efforts.  There may be a principal author, but no writer can get from the blank page to the published book without the help and patience of friends and family.  When Vertigo was first published in 1998, on the eve of Hitchcock's centennial year, Vertigo was making its big, refurbished 70mm return the screen.  A decade plus later, the film's reputation continues to grow and its influence in all the arts, especially film,  spirals out in all directions like the spiral animation created by John Whitney, Sr for the film.Vertigo's production process remains relevant, maybe more so, today.  The tools of the trade of have changed, but the idea of building a filmmaking team from almost every aspect of  art and science points the way to the continued creation of art in a medium designed primarily to collect coin.

One of the unused Saul Bass poster designs for the film.  Bass used this color scheme, the familiar orange and the color scheme I used for the Kindle jacket.  Bass' "blue" posters are an inversion of his orange version.
