Flocking to his defence: Save Hitchcock

Not that he needs saving, but the record should remain accurate about the man (and sometimes, woman) behind the films we know as Hitchcock's.  He's an easy (and large) target for all sorts of demonic and sadist characterizations--but the reality of who Hitch was to work with and live with has been well documented.  Hedren's accusations fit the legend and the public need for the artist to match the art.  Her assertions are out of character for what we know about Hitchcock and they must be taken (without any corroboration) for what they are.
